WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's tennis team received academic recognition from Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the organization announced this week. As a team, the Tribe earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor for the seventh-straight season, while six players,

Charlotte Madson,

Mila Saric,
Shruti Rajaji Srinivasan and
Elisa Van Meeteren garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades.
W&M received the team award for the 11th time overall and 10th in the last 12 years. The six Scholar-Athletes tied the 2017 squad for the most by a Tribe team. The group was among 44 total among CAA programs. Individually, it was the fourth award for Cheng, while Saric garnered the distinction of the second time. Madson, Okuyama, Srinivasan and van Meeteren received their first ITA Scholar-Athlete awards.
Since 2002, W&M has generated a total of 53 ITA Scholar-Athletes. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner; have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year; and have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year). All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher.
