COLLEGE PARK, Md. – A week after posting one of the best performances in school history, the William & Mary women's gymnastics team recorded its second-best score of the season and placed fourth at five-team meet hosted by Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
The host Terps claimed the team title with a 196.975 and were followed by Yale (194.375), Temple (194.100), W&M (193.900) and Penn (193.275).
Highlighting the Tribe's showing was a season-high 48.775 on vault, which ranks tied for the fourth-best score in school history in the event.
Katie Waldman highlighted W&M's individual performances and placed third in all-around with a 39.000.

Vault, 48.775 – A number of Tribe gymnasts recorded outstanding efforts to help W&M record the fourth-best score in school history on vault.
Erika Marr and
Mary Graceyn Gordon both registered career highs with a pair of 9.825s, while Waldman equaled a season best with a 9.800.
Taylor White also came up big with a career-high 9.775.
Bars, 48.575 –
Evan Pakshong and Waldman led W&M on bars and tied for ninth with a 9.775. White contributed to the team total with a 9.725.
Beam, 48.050 –
Caroline Caponi tallied the Tribe's top score on beam with a 9.700, while White earned a 9.675.
Floor, 48.500 – Waldman equaled a season high (9.800) and tied for seventh on floor, while
Elizabeth Snoddy earned her best score of the season in the event as well with a 9.775. Caponi nearly matched Snoddy's impressive total with a 9.750.
All-Around – Waldman's third-place effort (39.000) led a trio of Tribe all-arounders, as White (38.875) and Gordon (38.375) also competed in all four events.
