TOWSON, Md. — The William & Mary women's gymnastics team placed second at a quad meet hosted by Towson on Friday evening.
The host Tigers claimed the team title with a 194.725 and were followed by W&M (192.150), West Chester (191.400) and Cornell (186.725).
Katie Waldman highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning the beam title with a career-high 9.825, while she tied for second in all-around (38.825).
Event Highlights
Vault, 48.175 – Led by
Erika Marr (9.700) and Waldman (9.675), W&M posted the meet's second-best team score on vault.
Brianna Greenlow also contributed to the Tribe's total with a 9.650.
Bars, 48.075 – W&M tallied a season-high team total on bars, as
Taylor White (9.700), Waldman (9.700) and Marr (9.650) all came up big in the event.
Beam, 47.600 – Waldman highlighted the Tribe's efforts on beam by claiming the individual title with a career-high 9.825. Marr also performed well and earned a 9.700.
Floor, 48.300 – The Tribe recorded its best score of the season on floor, as White (9.700),
Caroline Caponi (9.675) and Waldman (9.675) posted the squad's top three marks.
All-Around – Waldman was the Tribe's lone all-arounder and earned a season-best 38.825, which tied for second.
