Mila Saric picked up a singles and a doubles win on the first day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational.
In doubles, junior
Vitoria Okuyama and Saric recorded a win over an ACC pair. The Tribe duo upended the North Carolina team of Kacie Harvey and Alle Sanford, 8-4. Okuyama improved her team-best doubles mark to 5-2, while the tandem picked up its second win as a team in the last two years.
Saric followed with her team-leading seventh singles win of the fall, making quick work of Tulane's Lahari Yelamanchili in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
W&M continues action in the Kitty Harrison Invitational on Saturday at the Cone-KenField Tennis Center. The Tribe takes on NC State indoors at 9 a.m. in doubles action before wrapping up the day against Notre Dame outdoors in singles competition.
