Women's Tennis Continues Action at the UVA Fab 5 Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis continued action at the UVA Fab 5 Invitational on Saturday.
 
Freshman Elisa Van Meeteren picked up her fourth singles win of the fall to highlight the Tribe's effort. The Green and Gold rookie knocked off Virginia Tech's Jade Woo, 6-1.
 
One day after picking up the highest-ranked victory for a Tribe rookie since 2011, freshman Raffeala Alhach fell to ODU's Shalimar Talbi, 6-4, 6-1. Talbi is the No. 3-ranked freshman/newcomer in the country according to the ITA and owns a career-high WTA pro ranking of 439 in the world.
 
Also in singles action against Old Dominion, senior Charlotte Madson dropped a narrow 6-4, 6-4 decision to Alexandra Viktorovich, who was ranked as high as No. 1016 in the WTA pro rankings.
 
W&M closes out play at the event on Sunday, taking on Virginia Tech in singles action at 9 a.m.
