Julia Casselbury April 25, 2016Hi Everyone!                        This weekend was an exciting one for the Tribe! We played in the CAA tournament at Elon. It was the first time in the past four years that the tournament has been held elsewhere than William & Mary, so it was a new experience for everyone.  Our first match was on Friday against Hofstra. We arrived at the courts and about 10 minutes into our warmup it started to rain, so we had to play the match indoors. We drove all the way to the Wake Forest indoor center to play, which was about an hour away. Unfortunately because of the weather we didn't get a chance to play doubles and started right away with singles. Everyone played extremely well and we won the match 4-0.  Friday night was a fun night because some of the team members went to play laser tag! It was a great distraction from thinking about school and tennis for a little bit.  On Saturday, we played our semifinal match against the College of Charleston. It was a rematch of the conference championship final last year, so we knew that it was going to be a competitive match for us. We won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead going into singles. It was an extremely close ending to the match and a great team effort to get the 4-3 win. For dinner we went to an amazing Indian restaurant called Taaza Bistro. Our team is known for branching out and trying all different types of cuisines while we are traveling to matches and Indian food is definitely a team favorite.  In the finals we faced JMU, who had beaten Elon in the semifinals the day before. In the end we won the match 4-1 and claimed our second straight CAA title! As a senior, it was an amazing way to finish conference play. Everyone has worked extremely hard this season and it has paid off thus far.  In the next few weeks we will find out who we play in the first round of regionals. Until then we are going to continue practicing and getting better in order to prepare us for our upcoming matches!  Julia |

Jackie Lee April 11, 2016Hello Tribe Fans! Â This is a bit of a bittersweet moment for me as it will be my last blog entry ever. I've tried not to look back too much on my time here yet because I want to make the most of the days I have left, but I couldn't help reminiscing while writing this. It's been such an incredible four years here and it's hard to believe that Julia, Leeza and I just finished our last regular season match ever. I'm really looking forward to our last CAA tournament with this special group we have! This weekend was so much fun. We piled in the vans on Saturday morning and fought what felt like a tornado while running from the vans to our breakfast spot in Norfolk. We met the men's team there and had a big meal all together to get prepped for our double Tribe vs. ODU match. Then we all hit the courts and prepared for a pair of tough matches. We got to a rough start with the doubles but managed to fight back in the singles despite some questionable and adverse conditions throughout the day. Lauren started it off with a convincing win, followed by Leeza and Marie pulling out some very close matches. Julia and Liv battled in two incredible three-set matches - credit to the ODU girls for playing some great tennis. Maria saved the day with her 6-0, 6-4 clinch, summing up the day with a 4-3 win. The boys also battled their hearts out but couldn't quite seal the win - the ODU team played some incredible tennis all around so well done to them. After a quick Chipotle trip we drove back to the Burg and got some well deserved rest. It was nice to have Sunday to relax a bit, catch up on work, and visit the SAAC student-athlete tailgate at the Lacrosse and Baseball games. It was all around a great weekend and an amazing way to finish our regular season. I'm so excited for the next few weeks. It's always my favorite time of the year, and this year it will be even sweeter to be experiencing it for the very last time! This team is really so special and we've shared many unforgettable moments together. With a couple of weeks of focused training we will be ready to bring all we've got at CAAs at Elon. Thank you all for your endless support not only this season but for the whole time I've been here. You don't realize how much you contribute to our experience here just by coming and supporting us and showing that you care. After all, it's you we play for! Much love, and thank you so much for making my experience here so great. Jackie :) |

Cecily Wuenscher April 4, 2016Hey Tribe Fans, Â This past weekend yours truly played Houston on Friday and then celebrated Senior Day on Saturday with a 6-1 win over Montana. Â Unfortunately, the weather on Saturday morning was not agreeable, and so our match was moved to our indoor facilities at MNTC. Everyone except Leeza, Julia, and Jackie arrived early to begin decorating the center before our seniors arrived. Out came the streamers, balloons, posters, roster pictures (good and bad), music, etc. Â As the match began, it was extremely nice to see so many familiar faces sitting in the stands, supporting our seniors for their last ever home match. At #1 doubles, Lauren and Marie powered through very quickly and claimed a decisive victory. At #2 Julia and Leeza, who refer to themselves as "Serena and Venus", had some nerves at the beginning but were able to stay focused and clinch the doubles point for the Tribe. Meanwhile, our very own Jackie Lee was playing her first doubles match of the year with Maria, and it was great to see her take the win as well. Â In between doubles and the start of singles we had a small ceremony to acknowledge our seniors and present them with flowers. Tyler sang them well-deserved praises, and we were all very grateful to have had the opportunity to compete alongside Leeza, Jackie, and Julia. These girls are truly amazing teammates and have been great role models to each and every one of us. On a side note, Tyler also introduced the famous "Chow" to all of our fans, which for those of you who don't know, is a papier-mâché half-chicken-half-cow that was created by a past Tribe Tennis alum. Â In singles, Leeza brought out her A-game and won her match in record timing, while Julia followed not too long after with a win as well. It was an amazing end for our seniors, and we are so proud of them for everything they have accomplished. I'm sure we will not be the only ones to miss them next year, but we have learnt so much from them and they will always be a part of the Tribe! Â Next weekend we travel to ODU for our last regular season match, after which we attend the CAA tournament at Elon from April 21st to 24th. Â Â Â We hope to see you at Elon! Â Cecily xx |

Olivia Thaler March 28, 2016Hi everyone! This past Thursday we traveled on the state jet to New Haven, Connecticut, where we would face two tough opponents: Yale and Rice. Last year we lost to both Yale and Rice, so needless to say this time around our motivations were high and we were ready to redeem ourselves. We knew it wouldn't be easy after a rather slow week of practice (if you haven't already heard, a few girls on the team got hit with a stomach virus the previous weekend, including myself). We all came together to meet the challenge and had an awesome weekend of tennis. On Friday against Yale, we had a slow start in doubles and singles. Every singles match was "too close for comfort," as I like to say. But the Tribe girls maximized on their opportunities and showed the Yale girls a real fight. Singles wins from Maria, Lauren, Marie and Leeza (who clinched the match in a thriller) got us the win. Yale is a difficult team to beat at home since they are extra loud and have extra loud fans, but we were tougher than them in point-play. On Saturday we battled against Rice and won 5-2. Once again, all of the matches were close and it ultimately came down to whoever was tougher mentally on court. A great display of that came from our #2 player, Marie. Marie battled against the #50 ITA-ranked player in the nation. At 7-5, 5-2 for Marie, a dispute over scoring would end in favor of Rice's player. In other words, Marie would have to win the match two times instead of one! After falling behind 6-5 in the second set, Marie proved how mentally and physically tough she is by grinding back into the match and winning the tiebreaker 7-4. Pretty inspiring to watch!! If you want to see some more inspiring tennis come out and watch us next weekend! We play at home on Friday (2 PM) and Saturday (3:30 PM). We will be celebrating Leeza, Julia and Jackie's last home match of the year, and we do hope that you will come help us celebrate what great people and players they are! Have a great week… and GO TRIBE! Olivia |

Deepa Dhore March 24, 2016Hey Tribe Fans, Thanks for coming out on Friday night! We really appreciate all the support and love we get from our devoted fans. To start of the weekend, we had a prematch meal at The Crust with Shirley, Karen and Tom. The team played our first match under the lights against East Carolina University. We were extremely energetic as we swept the doubles. The girls then continued to dominate singles as we went 5-1. But let's not forget the typical third set win from Jules! This girl can run side to side for days! Later that night we celebrated with some good thai food thanks to coach Jesse. Most of our team has an addiction to Pad Thai ;) We then had Saturday off but unfortunately the team (except Marie, Leez and I) caught some type of bug or stomach virus. That night most of the team got pretty familiar with the bathroom floor as the stomach bug, virus, or food poisoning (we are not completely sure what it was) took the best of us. Thus, we had to withdraw from our match on Sunday against Marshall University. But, we are happy to say that everyone has recovered and is doing great! The team travels to Yale this weekend to play Yale and Rice, and we can't wait to get on the court to compete again! As always, thanks for your support! Love your freshie, Deepa |

Lauren Goodman March 7, 2016Hey Tribe fans!
Wow. What a couple of weeks we have had. First, I want to thank you all for all of your love and support. It means so much to all of us and you couldn't imagine the difference it makes knowing that we have all of you supporting us! So after 2 great wins at home last weekend, the Tribe hit the road for an exciting weekend in Madison, Wisconsin. We were able to take the state plane and travel in style which was such a cool experience. It's definitely something I could get used to!  We got in to Madison in the early afternoon and after a quick lunch and good practice, we had some time to go back to the hotel and relax and enjoy some much needed down time. Then, we had the chance to walk around downtown before dinner. We ended the evening with some delicious Indian food. Watching Cecily trying to eat spicy food was probably my favorite part of the evening…sorry Cec!  Anyway, on Saturday, we beat the University of Illinois 5-2. On Sunday, we played Wisconsin and we won 4-3 in a very close and exciting match. At the beginning of the doubles matches, I was watching Marie and Leeza play a really important point. Leeza set the point up so perfectly, leaving Marie with an easy put-away volley at the net. I'm not quite sure how this happened, but the ball bounced off of Marie's frame, hit her in the head, AND went over the net. If only they got points for style! I was cracking up after that, so it was a little difficult to go back to playing our doubles match. But, Leeza and Marie were able to shake it off and win their match, so no worries!  Overall, it was a really successful and fun weekend. I'm looking forward to many more like it!  Lots of love,  Lauren  |

Julia Casselbury February 29, 2016Hi Everyone! Â I just wanted to take a second to thank everyone who came out to support us this weekend at our matches! It really does make a huge difference for us when we have great support from our fans, we love seeing you guys there! Â This past weekend was only our second weekend of home matches so far. This season we are on the traveling for the majority of our matches so the team was very excited to get a chance to play at home again. We hosted Harvard on Saturday and Liberty on Sunday. Â We had two recruits visiting this weekend so we had fun showing them around campus and giving them a chance to get to know the team a little bit. On Friday night, we had a team dinner at the tennis house where Jackie cooked us an amazing meal comprised of chicken pad thai and salmon. We had some cake pops for dessert, which were amazing! Â On Saturday morning before the match we went for a team breakfast at Baker's Crust. It was a great pre-match meal before we went out to the courts for our match later in the day. It was an exciting match for us against Harvard and it took a full team effort to get the win. We won the doubles point and then followed it up with some strong singles play to win the match 5-2. Â On Sunday we played Liberty. We got off to a bit of a slow start because we lost the doubles point. Everyone was able to bounce back really well after doubles and we all won our singles matches. The overall match score was 6-1. Â Next weekend we are off to Madison, Wis., to play Illinois and Wisconsin. See you guys next time! Â Julia |

Elizaveta Nemchinov February 22, 2016To our lovely fans,  First off, I would like to thank all of you for your unconditional support! This past weekend we traveled to Lubbock, Texas. This place had about 9 trees, a Weinerschnitzel, and not much more. Unfortunately we didn't go for any meals there because we kind of wanted to make it back to Williamsburg alive. We dealt with a lot of adversity playing in Texas and I am pretty sure that it is still a mystery to all of us on how to play on those courts. The surface was slow and fast at the same time. To sum it up, if you lobbed or hit the ball — it went out. Anyway, we played against BYU on Saturday and won 4-3. We won the doubles point which turned out to be key, as the singles matches were very close. I think we did a very nice job considering that it was our first outdoor match of the season. On Sunday, we played Texas Tech and it didn't turn out exactly how we would have wished. The match conditions were not ideal as the wind was incredibly strong but regardless of the result, I am still proud of our team for giving their best and embracing the adversity that came our way. But the main success of the weekend was that no one got sunburnt! Now we have new things to work on for our upcoming matches, and are ready for another solid week of practice. We play at 1:30 pm on Saturday against Harvard and at 1:30 pm on Sunday against Liberty (both at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center). Come out and support your favorite girls! We look forward to seeing you there!  Leeza  |

Maria Groener February 8, 2016Hi everyone, this is Maria.
First, thank you so much for all the support this weekend, we really appreciate everyone that took the time to come out and watch us play! It was such a great feeling playing at home again. And thanks to the men's tennis team for great support on both Saturday and Sunday. They also played two matches this weekend and got two great wins.
Friday before our first match we had a lovely dinner at Nancy and Peter Hammonds house. The food was amazing, the pasta we had for dinner is the whole team's favorite and don't get me started on that heat-bar dessert.
On Saturday we played university of South Carolina. The doubles are not worth mentioning, but the team efforts in singles were incredible. Everyone worked really hard and supported each other so much. Olivia, Julia and Lauren all won in though three sets matches and Leeza and Marie won strong in two sets. After our match the Tribe Aces had bought us food from Panera, thank you so much for that, and an amazing chocolate cake. For those who didn't know our whole team has a bit of a sweet tooth.
On Sunday we hosted Wake Forest. Compared to the day before the doubles were good and a lot more offensive. In singles everyone did as always their best, but Wake Forest really played great single matches. We were not able to perform at our top level, but we will come back stronger.
Outside of tennis, not a lot have happened this weekend! Hopefully we will have some more interesting things to write about next time.
We have our next matches in Texas two weeks from now, but we will back in three weeks hosting Harvard and Liberty, hope to see you there. Go tribe!!

Cecily Wuenscher February 1, 2016This past weekend yours truly traveled to North Carolina to take on a fellow CAA conference team, Elon, as well as NC State. This road trip was slightly different. We had our very own mascot along for the ride in the form of Lincoln, Tyler's son. By the end of the weekend Lincoln had definitely earned the title of the Tribe's loudest supporter!  As a result of the chilly temperatures outside, our match against Elon was relocated to an alternative indoor facility due to their lack of indoor courts. The infrastructure was interesting to say the least but we dealt with the adversity and focused on the task at hand. We also took a few moments to acknowledge how lucky and privileged we are to have a facility as great as MNTC back home in Williamsburg! After securing the doubles point we went back on court for singles and obtained a 6-1 win overall. Elon is one of the better teams in our conference so we were very happy with this result.  That evening the coaches took us to dinner at Mimi's Cafe. There we met a very very upbeat waiter called Jason who had been a Varsity wrestler in college. Both the quantity and quality of food was amazing, and the hospitality was even better. If any of you happen to be in Burlington, NC, you know where to go…  The next day we played NC State. We have been doing a lot of doubles practice lately and we were happy to see this pay of as we came away with the doubles point. The players at NC State are all fighters and both teams gave it everything they had on the courts. Unfortunately the Tribe narrowly lost 4-3, but we were all happy with the efforts we made.  This coming weekend we are excited to announce that we finally have a home match!! Although the men's basketball gold rush game is at the same time as our match on Saturday (2:30pm), we all know that you'd much rather be watching us so we can't wait to see you there :)  Your Brit, Cecily |

Olivia Thaler January 26, 2016Hi Tribe fans!  This weekend your women's tennis team traveled to Atlanta, Georgia (Deepa's hometown) to compete in the ITA Kickoff tournament. This section of the draw was hosted by #23 ranked Georgia Tech and included us, DePaul and LSU. We had the awesome opportunity to travel in style and take the Virginia State plane from Richmond to Atlanta. Although we were scheduled to leave on Friday, we decided to leave on Thursday to avoid the snowstorm… better to be safe than sorry!   Our first match against Georgia Tech was close, to say the least. After losing the doubles point, we knew we had change the momentum, which meant fighting hard during singles. I think its safe to say that everyone gave it there all on the court and off the court. Every match was close - only a few crucial points made the difference. Georgia Tech clinched the match at 4-1, but we certainly had them very worried. Although we didn't come out with the desired win, we gave a great effort.  Our second match against #35 DePaul was even more exciting. The Tribe gave a great effort in singles to tie the match at 2-2. Marie had us at the edge of our seats during her match after battling back and forth with her opponent for match points. She won the third set 7-5 to get us our third point. Our freshie Lauren was up in the third set as well, and she played some amazing tennis to clinch the match for the Tribe. It was one of the best efforts I've seen in all my college tennis years (1.5 years exactly). I was so proud of all the girls this weekend!!!  Thanks for following the Tribe and we hope to see you at our home matches this Spring!!  Liv  |

Marie Faure January 18, 2016Bonjour to our very faithful Tribe fans!
I first want to thank you all for following us! I'm an international transfer student from France that is very excited to compete for William & Mary for my last two years of College. I look forward to meet you all on our first match at home!
As a very new member to the team, I didn't know what to expect from my first weekend away with the Tribe! I wouldn't have guessed that this weekend would have been that fun. We left Williamsburg on Friday morning to compete against Navy at Annapolis. Everyone handled very well the pressure of the first match of the season since we conquered Navy with a 7-0 win. Maria deserves a big round of applause for fighting hard to pull out the win 15-13 in the third-set super tiebreaker.
Ty organized us a really nice surprise on Saturday. As we were on our way to go to State College, we stopped at the Hershey's factory. We had the chance to walk among the biggest chocolate bars, have a tour in a little train to discover the world of a chocolate's factory and even had some zumba's lesson. The whole team went on the dance floor to show off our very rhythmic dance moves. To avoid any embarrassment, I will unfortunately not upload any videos of it… But we did get free desserts thanks to our dedication.
Then, we had a chocolate tasting course. I will of course share my notes with you guys. Tasting chocolate is split in 4 actions: looking, listening, smelling and… tasting. We had to find out for each chocolate bars what was the strongest flavor we would.
Fun fact: Ty and Leeza tasted cheese in one of the piece of chocolate. (As a lover of cheese, I do not recommend this combo.)
Unfortunately, we had to head back on the road and reach our destination. We had a late practice which was awarded by a nice Italian meal.
The match against Penn State was a really tight match as Julia had to clinch the decisive match. We didn't start well by losing the double's point but we succeed to come out in singles with a lot of positive energy. Once again, our senior Leeza rocked and rolled on the court number 1 and brought a fast and good win to the team. Julia was the last one on the court and used her experience to stay composed despite the pressure on her shoulder. She did not make one unforced error and on the other side forced her opponent to hit one more ball every point. The team spirit was great and the W even greater.
For the three of us, it was a premiere. I think we can congratulate and be proud of our dear two freshmen Deepa and Lauren for coming out there with some nerves but yet gave their best. Also, we never get bored with Deepa's stories on the road!
I'll conclude by saying it was a successful weekend for us as tennis players as we come back to Williamsburg with two wins but also as friends as we start the season with such good memories. I look forward our next match next week to create even more memories!
Your dear French Tribe, Marie  |

Lauren Goodman November 9, 2015Hey Tribe fans, What a weekend we had in North Carolina! Due to an injury earlier this fall, this was my very first away tournament with the team. I had heard some really funny (and crazy) stories from the girls about their travel experiences, so I had no idea what to expect. I knew it was going to be fun, but I had no idea how much fun I was going to have. I loved spending time with the girls and getting to know them a little better. The girls have such great senses of humor, and they are always smiling! For the seniors who came to the tournament, it was their last fall tournament ever! And what a way to go out! Leeza and Julia had great weekends with awesome results in both singles and doubles. The sophomores, Olivia, Cecily, and Maria had great results as well. And next year, I know they'll come back and do even better! My first fall tournament was quite the experience. I loved waking up early and getting breakfast at Panera with the team and the coaches. (Panera is my favorite place to eat and I've missed it so much since I've been at college!) I loved watching the girls compete on court, and I loved being able to cheer them on. I'm looking forward to many more weekends like this one. Go Tribe! Love your freshie, Lauren |

Deepa Dhore October 6, 2015Hey Tribe Fans,  As a freshman, you expect a lot from the first college road trip… but a hurricane and extreme flooding? Now that was a surprise! This weekend, the mini-Tribe (Mel, Maria, Liv, Cec, and Julia) and I took an extended stay in Columbia, South Carolina for the South Carolina Invite.  To begin our journey, we were stuck in an awful traffic jam thanks to Hurricane Joaquin. Due to the bad weather conditions, a tree fell on the road blocking all lanes on the interstate. We were stuck on the highway in the same place for more than two hours. But, Julia got a good workout in with her highway laps along with a photo shoot thanks to Coach Jesse ;) Although delayed, we made it to our final destination.  For a brief moment we thought the rain might hold up but we soon found ourselves in the USC's indoor court facility. There was a dreadful buzzing noise in the facility that seemed to drain all life… especially us. But the team fought on as we had a strong performance in singles against the University of North Florida. Julia and Mel showed their fierce competitiveness in singles against South Carolina as well. The tournament got canceled on the last day, as weather conditions got worse.
The next day consisted of canned soup and bars. The area around our hotel was flooded so we had to stay inside all of Sunday and Monday. Luckily, Coaches Ty and Jesse bought a few things from the grocery stores before they all closed. This forced me to cook my first meal ever but thanks to Liv, the pasta turned out ok! The interstate finally opened up so we headed back on Monday. Overall, this first college road trip is one for the books. Â Can't wait for the rest of the season :)Â Â Your freshie, Deepa |

Jackie Lee September 21, 2015
To our dearest Tribe Tennis supporters,
A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support us this weekend! It was my very last Tribe Invite ever (sounds weird to even say myself!). Time has flown by since that day Leeza and I first took the courts with the team back in Fall of 2012. Every year it feels different, but with the weather on our side and many of our greatest supporters, it was another great tournament (shout out to all of the parents who came, we love seeing you...and the little pup Mia of course).
Our freshmen Deepa and Lauren both had an incredible weekend - the feeling of being on the court playing for your College for the very first time is a very unique one, one that we all remember very well. Deepa showed off her doubles skills and fierce attitude with Julia in doubles against VCU, making it her first match and first Collegiate win :) She then backed it up with a singles win on Saturday and another on Sunday. Lauren also played some great doubles; one match with Maria, one match with Olivia, and one match with Leeza. She also stepped up to play the number one singles spot on Saturday against ODU, winning 6-1, 6-0, and also winning convincingly on Sunday at #2. Congratulations on your efforts this weekend! We couldn't be happier to have you both on the team.
Now that our first tournament is completed, it feels like our season has really picked up and we are ready to bring on more matches! I couldn't be happier to be a part of this team. It's going to be a great year, so we hope to see you all in the Spring as we strive for a bigger and better season than those that have past. Here's some photos I took of the weekend (credit to Cecily for taking a couple of these!), and check out our Instagram @tribewomenstennis or our Facebook page for more photos, videos, and updates :)

Much Tribe Love,
Jackie |

Jackie Lee August 21, 2015Hello Tribe fans! As I (Jackie) sit here, extremely jet-lagged in the early hours of the morning, I began thinking of the team. In less than two weeks I will be reunited with them all again (and welcoming the freshmen for the first time!). The summers all seem to go faster and faster. During our time off, I took two summer school classes, volunteered at a hospital in Boston, visited Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, reconnected with a childhood friend in New York, saw a Broadway show, caught a Red Sox game, went to a wedding in NC, and visited my friends and family in Australia with my boyfriend. While there, we did a whole bunch of other activities - mostly tourist-type walks and mountain climbs, but we also visited many beaches, went to a theme park called Dreamworld, went to Taronga Zoo in Sydney, and ate a whole lot of Australian food (if you haven't tried a meat pie you haven't experienced true happiness). Here are some photos of my time there. The first picture is at the Gold Coast, in Queensland – right outside the front door of my Uncle's house.Â
These pictures are of a walk we did from Bondi Beach to Coogee - I'm not quite sure exactly what the area was called but it was near Bondi!Â

This is also at the Gold Coast in Queensland - we got up for a sunrise, so this was at about 6am
?It's not a trip to Australia without some Australian animals! Here's me with a baby Kangaroo and one of few Koalas at the Currumbin Wildlife Reserve at the Gold Coast - we actually got to play with the Kangaroos for a while and hold a Koala for a photo (where it very calmly proceeded to pee on both of us... thanks cheeky Mr. Koala)

?And finally, this is one of my back yard in Noosa Waters, Queensland
Thinking back on everything I have accomplished and experienced in these last 3 months, I wanted to know all about the other girls summer experiences and what they have been up to. So, I spoke with each one of them to find out!
Maria has been in Norway for most of the summer – here is a beautiful picture from Glomfjord where she went hiking. Maria did summer school as well, and then worked for a few weeks at a summer camp. She spent some time at her summer house and then met up with Cec in Amsterdam where they saw our beloved Jeltje :)
?Julia went home to Lancaster, PA where her family lives (Leeza may at some time tried to convince you that her family is Amish, but no... they are not...sorry Leeza). She had an internship where she worked with nutrition and wellness, as well as studying pharmaceutical/drug interactions, as well as working at her family's sporting club. She also went to the beach to enjoy the hot weather! Here's a snap of her posing with two of her best friends (yes she ate her best friends... watch out Leeza you might be next)Â

Olivia went back to Miami where her family lives (shout out to Isabelle - I know you're reading this with 5 dogs on your lap). She had an internship working with a plastic surgeons office where she helped with marketing and actually got the opportunity to observe some surgeries! I'm very jealous. Here she is with some of the staff members at the office.

?Leeza first went to New York for her sister's wedding, and then went back to Moscow with her family. Here she is in front of the Red Square in the first photo and then escaping for a weekend to St. Petersburg. I'll be visiting you there someday Leeza!Â

Mel has (as always) been making us jealous by traveling around Europe. Her and her boyfriend Ed (shout out to our biggest fan we love you Ed!) bowling in Portugal and another of her posing with some adorable ponies!Â
Cec has also been doing a marketing internship with a fitness studio and traveling around Europe with some friends, including with Maria. Here they are in Amsterdam together being tourists posing inside the sign. Cec also got the chance to go to Wimbledon - I'm sure everyone is as jealous as me just thinking about strawberries and cream and champagne!Â
This is Lauren, one of our lovely incoming freshman spending some time with her new baby niece! So cute. She has been playing a lot of tennis and doing really well too, we're very excited to welcome Lauren onto the team! You're all going to love her.
And here is Deepa, our other incoming freshman taking a selfie with an elephant (sorry Deepa, had to do it!). She travelled with her family to Tanzania, India, and NYC. While in Tanzania, they went to three national parks. Her favorite was the Serengeti National Park, which is known for their beautiful big cats. The second picture is with her family at the Serengeti National Park :) We're all very excited to welcome Deepa to the team as well!Â
Thank you all for visiting our blog! We hope your summers have been as jam-packed and exciting as ours have been. We had a blast, but now its time to come together again and get back into school and tennis! There are so many exciting events and memories to come, and I couldn't be happier to share them all with my new team, the Tribe Aces, and all of our supporters. For the seniors (Leeza, Julia and I), this is our last time around, so we better make it a good one! Can't wait to see everyone again. Until next time Tribe fans! Much Love, Jackie |
