CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (Feb. 7, 2015) – The William and Mary women's gymnastics team posted its second-best score of the season but fell at North Carolina, 194.425-192.800, on Saturday afternoon.

Graduate student Larson Lasek and junior Brittany Stover highlighted the Tribe's performances as each claimed an event title. Stover recorded the top score on vault (9.875), while Lasek tied for first on beam with a season-high 9.750. Stover's impressive mark on vault tied for the third-best score in school history in the event.

W&M opened the dual meet on bars where it earned a 48.100. Brittany Stover led the way with a 9.700, while junior Alyssa Glass registered a season-best 9.650.

The Tribe then moved to vault where it tallied a season-high 48.450. In addition to Brittany Stover's winning performance, Lasek equaled a season best with a 9.725.

In the third rotation of the afternoon, the College posted a 48.050 on floor. Senior Maggie Lundeen tied for third in the event with a 9.800, while Brittany Stover earned a 9.675.

W&M closed out the meet on beam and was led by Lasek's winning performance. Senior Brandy Stover also came up big with a 9.650 to help the team total a 48.200.

Brittany Stover was the College's top all-arounder and placed third with a 38.850. Lasek and sophomore Olivia O'Connor also competed in all four events and recorded a 38.725 and a 38.175, respectively.

The Tribe will return to action when it competes at the Sweetheart Invitational hosted by North Carolina State next Saturday.
