The William and Mary women's swimming team fell on the road to a pair of ACC-foes on Saturday in Christansburg, but collected 11 wins in the course of the 14-event meet. The Tribe's match-up with Miami (Fla.) was a nail-biter that went down to the last race, 137-123, while against Virginia Tech the Hokies took the win, 163-97.

Leading the way for the Tribe was senior
Caylyn Tate (Sterling, Va.), who picked up a total of three individual wins. She was the fastest swimmer in the pool in the 1000 free, timing 10:28.21, and also add a win in the 500 free against the Hurricanes with a time of 5:09.53. Sophomore
Megan Howard (McLean, Va.) scored 23.5 of her 33.5 points all against the Hokies, sweeping the 50 (23.98) and 100 free (52.43) while swimming on both of the Tribe's winning relays. She was the fly leg of the 400 medley relay that won in 3:55.09, joining with
Liz Glenn (Greenwood Village, Colo.),
Courtney Mizerak (Manassas, Va.), and
Sara Shaner (Clarendon Hills, Ill.). In the 200 free relay, Howard led off the team of Shaner,
Greta Schneider (Moorestown, N.J.), and
Gabrielle Mizerak (Manassas, Va.), who closed out the win in 1:36.02.
In addition to her spot on the 400 medley, Glenn also swept the 200 back against both opponents, touching the wall in 2:05.11. The Tribe's final two victories both came against Miami, courtesy of a pair of freshmen.

Noelle Klockner (Marlboro, N.J.) had a 1-3 split of her own, timing 58.43 in the 100 back to win over Miami and finish third against the Hokies as well.
William and Mary is back in action next weekend, traveling down to Norfolk to face Old Dominion at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26.
