The William and Mary women's swimming team brought its fall season to a close Saturday afternoon, easily downing Georgetown 138-62 in Williamsburg. With the win, the Tribe evens its record at 4-4 on the year, while the Hoyas fall to 0-3 overall.

400 Medley Relay
The Tribe won each of the first nine events, beginning with the 400 medley relay. The team of
Liz Glenn (Greenwood Village, Colo.),
Emily Bart (Cherry Hill, N.J.),
Gabrielle Mizerak (Manassas, Va.), and
Jen Bentley (Jamestown, N.Y.) combined to time 3:55.04 for the victory. W&M also took second place in 3:57.34, thanks to the team of
Noelle Klockner (Marlboro, N.J.),
Courtney Mizerak (Manassas, Va.),
Jessie Ustjanauskas (West Hartford, Conn.), and
Greta Schneider (Moorestown, N.J.).
1000 Free
In the 1000, freshman
Hannah Vester (Cincinnati, Ohio) took the victory in an impressive 10:29.86, ahead of classmate
Elena Marsilii (Falls Church, Va.) in 10:37.68 for second. Senior
Meghan Baker (New Rochelle, N.Y.) was third, touching the wall in 10:40.79.
200 Free
Junior
Jen Bentley also went home with a gold medal, swimming 1:54.69 to stop the clock just ahead of senior
Caylyn Tate (Sterling, Va.), 1:54.95.
Gabrielle Mizerak made it another sweep of the podium, finishing third in 1:57.43.
50 Free
Junior
Sara Shaner (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) won her first of two events in the 50 free, beating the field to the wall in 24.27 seconds.
Greta Schneider was second in 24.64, and freshman
Amanda Weidner (Evanston, Ill.) was fourth in 25.12 seconds.
200 IM
Freshman
Lindsey Winston (Henrico, Va.) continued her dominance of the 200 IM with a 2:10.08 victory. Junior
Devin Henry (Roanoke, Va.) was third in 2:12.02, and freshman
Courtney Mizerak was fourth in 2:13.56.
200 Fly
Fellow rookie
Jessie Ustjanauskas was the winner in the 200 fly, timing 2:07.84. Classmate
Rachel Cortright (Ridgewood, N.J.) took the silver medal in 2:12.52, and sophomore
Rebecca Spicher (Chesapeake, Va.) was fourth in 2:13.55.
100 Free
Sara Shaner's other win was in the 100 free, where she timed 53.29 to stop the clock.
Gabrielle Mizerak was the runner-up in 54.27 seconds, and
Amanda Weidner was just off the podium, fourth in 55.31 seconds.
200 Back
Sophomore
Liz Glenn continued to prove herself the class of the backstrokes, winning the 200 back in 2:03.27 well ahead of the field. Sophomore
Katie Thomas (Virginia Beach, Va.) and
Lindsey Winston completed the sweep of the top three spots, in 2:07.83 and 2:09.82, respectively.
500 Free
In the 500 free,
Caylyn Tate won her team-leading 10th race of the season in 5:09.84.
Jen Bentley was second in 5:11.33, and
Hannah Vester was third in 5:14.83.
With the fall season now complete, William and Mary will take five weeks off for exams, holidays, and winter training. The Tribe's next competition will come on Saturday, Jan. 12, hosting Howard at 1 p.m.
