Andrew Hoxie Named First-Team ECAC Division I Men's Soccer All-Star

Cape Cod, Mass. - The accolades continued to roll in for William and Mary senior Andrew Hoxie on Wednesday, as he was named to the ECAC Division I Men's Soccer All-Stars First Team.

This is the fourth post-season honor for Hoxie following his terrific senior season. Hoxie was named CAA Player of the Year in a vote of the CAA's coaches and was also named to the All-CAA First Team. Hoxie was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer First Team in November.

Hoxie was the top offensive performer in the CAA in 2009, tying for the conference lead with 10 goals and topping the league with 12 assists and 32 points. The Newport News, Virginia native, who ranked third in the nation in assists per game and 11th in points per game, tallied at least one point in 12 of the Tribe's 19 contests.

For his career, Hoxie ranks among the top 10 in W&M history in goals (35/t9th), assists (22/10th) and points (92/7th). In 2005, Hoxie was named to the CAA All-Rookie, while he earned second-team all-conference honors after leading the conference in goals last season.

The ECAC is the nation's largest athletic and the only multi-divisional conference with approximately 300 Divisions I, II, and III colleges and universities from Maine to North Carolina and westerly to Illinois. Established in 1938, the ECAC, a non-profit service organization, sponsors nearly 100 championships in 37 men's and women's sports, assigns more than 4,400 officials in 12 sports, administers nine affiliate sports organizations and six playing leagues and recognizes more than 2,000 student-athletes through the public relations arm of the conference.
