Carter Joins Tribe Men’s Soccer for 2026

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary men's soccer announced the addition of incoming freshman Sullivan Carter (Vienna, Va. / Bishop O'Connell) to its 2026 signing class.

A versatile attacking player, Carter has starred at both the high school and club levels as a winger and wing back. He attends Bishop O'Connell High School, where he has earned multiple all-conference and all-state honors while helping lead the program to consistent success.

Carter was a two-time WCAC All-Conference First Team selection (2024, 2025) and earned Washington Post All-Met Second Team recognition in 2025. He was also named to the VISAA All-State First Team twice (2024, 2025) and garnered Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention accolades in 2024.

During his junior season, Carter totaled 10 goals and 10 assists, before erupting for 26 goals and 10 assists as a senior, serving as a team captain.

At the club level, Carter competed for Loudoun Soccer in the ECNL and MLS NEXT platforms. He helped Loudoun reach the ECNL National Finals in 2023 and earned ECNL All-American honors that same year. Carter was named the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Player of the Year in 2023 and was a two-time ECNL Mid-Atlantic All-Conference selection, including first-team honors in 2023. He also participated in the ECNL National Selection Game in 2024.

Carter plans to major in business finance at William & Mary. He is the son of Bryan and Maggie Carter.

Carter will join the Tribe ahead of the 2026 season.
