WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—The William & Mary women's golf team will open its 2026-27 season when it hosts the Tribe Invitational at the Kingsmill Resort River Course. The 54-hole event will begin with 36 holes on Monday and conclude with a final round on Tuesday.
 
The tournament is open to the public and live scoring will be available at TribeAthletics.com.
 
The Team
W&M returns an impressive lineup this year, as its top six scorers return from a year ago – Lilly Reed Black, Jennifer Osborne, Reagan Garnsey, Faith Garcia, Samantha Skinner and Katie Suk. Bolstering the roster will be a trio of newcomers – Srihitha Mandava, Abigail Avallone and Tess Morris.
 
The lineup teeing it up for the Tribe on Monday will be:

4. Abigail Avallone
5. Reagan Garnsey

 
Additionally, the Tribe will field three individual competitors:

1. Tess Morris
2. Faith Garcia
3. Samantha Skinner

 
Last Season's Leaders
Following a tremendous 2025-26 campaign in which she posted a team-low 77.4 scoring average, Jennifer Osborne returns to help lead the Tribe. Reagan Garnsey also highlights W&M's lineup after carding a team-low round of 68 last year – the program's best individual round since 2023.
 
The duo will play an integral role in helping W&M look to build upon last spring's success when the Tribe earned its 13th-best scoring average in school history and posted its best finish (5th) at the CAA Championships in a decade. 
 
The Event
The 54-hole tournament, played over two days, will feature eight teams – W&M, Georgetown, Le Moyne, Longwood, Long Island, Marshall, Maryland-Eastern Shore and Niagara. W&M earned a third-place finish last season and was led by Samantha Skinner and Lilly Reed Black, who tied for ninth overall with a +19.
 
The Course
The River course at Kingsmill Resort is a tough 5,924-yard par 72 masterfully designed by Pete Dye. It has played host to 38 PGA and LPGA events and has been listed as a Golf Digest top 100 course in America. It is the 12th time Kingsmill Resort has hosted the Tribe Invitational, and the 9th time it has been held at the River, dating back to 2016.
 
Fall Schedule
Following this week's opening event, the Tribe's fall schedule will feature four additional upcoming tournaments – Elon Invitational (Sept. 14-15), Evie Odom Invitational (Oct. 9-11), Spider Invitational (Oct. 19-20) and Keswick Cup (Oct. 26).
