RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary senior Hayes Trapp and junior Molly Weithman earned CAA Runner of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday following their performances at the Virginia Invitational.

Trapp was named the CAA Men's Runner of the Week for the second consecutive week, while Weithman was selected as the CAA Women's Co-Runner of the Week alongside Elon's Brynne Gordon.

Trapp continued his impressive start to the season by placing sixth overall in the 6K at Panorama Farms with a personal-best time of 17:55.2. He was the Tribe's top finisher for the second straight meet and helped lead W&M to a runner-up team finish with 73 points, seven ahead of host Virginia.

The honor is Trapp's second in as many weeks after he opened the season with a runner-up finish at the Spider Alumni Open. He posted a then-personal-best time of 18:19.0 and led the Green and Gold to the team title.

Weithman led the Tribe women for the second consecutive meet, placing 13th overall in the 5K with a personal-best time of 17:20.9. She finished behind only runners from ACC foes North Carolina and Virginia as W&M placed fourth in the six-team field.

Weithman has opened the season with back-to-back top-15 finishes. She placed runner-up at the season-opening Spider Alumni Open in 14:00.4 and helped the Tribe capture the team title.

The Tribe will return to action Friday, Oct. 2, at the Firetower Project Run in Boone, N.C.
