RICHMOND, Va. — Junior midfielder Thor Sigurjonsson earned Preseason All-CAA honorable mention recognition, while William & Mary was selected to finish fifth in the CAA South Division preseason poll, the conference announced Monday.

Sigurjonsson started all 16 matches during his sophomore campaign in 2025. The midfielder recorded 11 shots, including three on goal, while playing a consistent role in the Tribe lineup.

William & Mary totaled 20 points in the South Division preseason poll. Defending CAA champion Elon was picked to win the division with nine first-place votes and 45 points, followed by UNCW with 32 points and one first-place vote. Charleston was selected third with 27 points, while Campbell received 21 points to finish fourth in the poll.

William & Mary opens the 2026 season at home on Thursday, Aug. 20, hosting Longwood at Martin Family Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and the match will be streamed live on FloCollege.
