WILMINGTON, N.C. — William & Mary scored nine unanswered runs, erasing a four-run deficit before holding off a furious ninth-inning rally, to top UNWC 9-8 on Sunday afternoon at Brooks Field.

Pinch-runner Jamie Laskofski then came around to score on a passed ball, tying the game at 4-4.
In the bottom of the seventh, Bourque retired the Seahawks' side in order, setting up the go-ahead eighth inning. Sam Kaczmarek drew a leadoff walk and stole second and third before coming home on a sacrifice fly by Chase Ecker to give W&M its first lead, 5-4.
Trey Christman then delivered the crucial blast, a two-run homer to make it 7-4 in favor of the Tribe.
Bourque struck out the side in the eighth, capping off a stretch of eight straight batters retired. W&M added two insurance runs in the ninth, including an RBI single from Ryan Santangelo.
