W&M Prepares for Raleigh Relays, Home Meet Saturday

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary track & field will split competition this weekend, traveling to the Raleigh Relays on March 26 before hosting the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational on March 28 at Zable Stadium.

The Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State, will feature distance-focused events on Thursday, including the 1500m, 3000m steeplechase, 5000m and 10,000m. Brendan DiStefano, Hayes Trapp, Collin Walsh and Caleb Wilcox are set to compete for the Tribe.

William & Mary returns home on Saturday for the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational, which includes a full slate of running and field events beginning at 9:30 a.m. Running events are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. with the 2000m steeplechase and conclude with the 4x400m relay at 4:20 p.m.

Tribe News and Notes

- Freshman Amelia Bawcome continued her strong outdoor start at the Fred Hardy Invitational, breaking her own freshman record in the hammer throw with a mark of 57.27m (187-10). The throw ranks third all-time in program history. She also won the discus.

- Tia Taylor captured the 100m hurdles title in 14.30, moving to third all-time among performers in program history.

- Kalli Knott won the pole vault at 3.85m (12-7.5), tying for sixth all-time, while Katriel Amoyaw claimed the high jump at 1.70m (5-7), tying for seventh all-time.

- The Tribe totaled multiple event wins in Richmond, including victories from Allie McDonald (3000m steeplechase), Kennedy Reynolds (400m hurdles), and Jonathan Kumer (1500m).

- Kumer led a 1–2 finish in the 1500m alongside Amberson Bauer, highlighting a strong showing for the Tribe distance group.
