WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team posted its best performance of the season en route to earning an impressive 193.875 – 192.275 victory against Alaska on Senior Night at Kaplan Arena on Thursday evening.
In addition to recording a season-high team total, W&M also earned its best scores of the year on bars (48.075) and beam (48.825). The Tribe's beam score ranks tied for the fourth-best total in the event in school history.
Hannah Burke highlighted W&M's individual performances and claimed a pair of event titles, tying for first on vault (9.750) and floor (9.775).
Michelle Ngo also earned a share of the floor title by equaling her season high in the event.
Sophia Summers tied for second on beam with a career-best 9.850, while
Madeline Frazier and
Melanie Faulkner tied for third in the event with a pair of 9.800s. The impressive score was a career high for Frazier and equaled a career best for Faulkner.
Sally Wood and
Ascha Laird also registered top-three performances on vault and bars, respectively. Wood's 9.725 on vault was a season high, while Laird's 9.750 on bars equaled her best score of the season in the event.

W&M will return to action when it hosts Alaska at Kaplan Arena on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Tribe will welcome back its alumni to celebrate 50 years of women's gymnastics at W&M. It will also be a double dual with the men's team, which will host Simpson.
