WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After helping lead the William & Mary women's gymnastics team to a victory at the Isla HBCU Classic on Sunday,
Hannah Burke was honored as the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Specialist of the Week.
Burke highlighted W&M's individual performances by winning the vault and floor titles. She recorded a career-high 9.900 on floor, which ties for the sixth-best score in school history in the event, while she registered a season-best 9.775 on vault.
The Herndon, Va., native's impressive effort contributed to the Tribe's season-high scores on vault (48.625) and floor (48.900).
One of the GEC's elite gymnasts this season, Burke currently ranks eighth in the conference on floor (9.800) and is W&M's top performer on vault (9.670).
W&M will return to action when it hosts Alaska for Senior Day at Kaplan Arena on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
