Swimming Concludes Cavalier Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — William & Mary swimming concluded the Cavalier Invitational on Saturday evening at the Aquatic & Fitness Center. The Tribe had four event victories including a sweep of the 1650 free from Lauren Tucker and Tyler Barritt.

NOTABLE RESULTS
  • Tucker won the women's 1650 free with a time of 16:41.62, setting a personal best and moving her up to fourth in program history.
  • On the men's side, Barritt posted a time of 15:40.67 in the 1650 free, good for No. 9 all-time.
  • The women's 200 free relay team of Zoe Arakelian, Veronika Owen, Carly Frank, and Riley Mills finished in first place with a time of 1:33.20.
  • Freshman Blaise VanSlyke recorded the fastest time in the prelims of the 100 fly at 49.61 before winning the finals with a time of 49.88.
  • Mills had a solid showing in the 100 back with a finals time of 56.48 to place fourth. She also set personal bests in the 50 free (23.68), 100 free (51.48), and 100 fly (55.27).

The Tribe has three weeks off before the CAA Championships from Feb. 25-28 at the Hampton Aquaplex.
