PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team placed fourth at a quad meet hosted by Penn on Friday evening.
Penn claimed the team title with a 196.000 and was followed by George Washington (194.550), Cornell (192.650) and W&M (190.875).
Hannah Burke and
Ashley Ruedy led the Tribe with a pair of top-10 finishes, as Burke tied for ninth on floor (9.750) and Ruedy tied for 10th on beam (9.775, career high).
Sophia Summers was W&M's top scorer on vault with a 9.675, while
Catherine Bare recorded the Tribe's best mark on bars with a 9.625.
As a team, W&M's best collective performance came on beam where it posted the meet's third-best score (48.425). The Tribe also totaled a 47.675 on vault, a 46.575 on bars and a 48.200 on floor.

W&M will return to action when it competes at a pair of multi-team road meets next weekend – at Temple (with Brown, Yale) on Feb. 13 and at George Washington (with New Hampshire) on Feb. 15).
