Swimming Kicks Off New Year With Tribe Quad Meet

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary swimming returns to action on Friday as it hosts the annual Tribe Quad Meet at the Hampton Aquaplex. The women's team will take on East Carolina and Richmond, while both the men's and women's squads compete against Old Dominion.

The action will get underway at 4 p.m. Fans can follow live results on the MeetMobile app.

LAST TIME OUT
W&M split its dual meet at Washington on Dec. 20 against George Washington. The women secured a dominant 165-97 victory while the men fell 157-105 in the final meet of 2025.

The Tribe women's 200 medley relay team continued its winning ways, posting a time of 1:39.68 to place first. Julie Addison led the way, followed by Lindsay Juhlin, Lauren Klinefelter, and Caroline Burgeson.

William & Mary had victories from Addison in the 100 back (54.51) and Juhlin in the 100 breast (1:01.87). The Tribe also swept the 50 free with winning times from Burgeson (23.05) and Aiden Bond (20.33).

STARTING OFF
  • With her two individual victories and relay win at George Washington, Addison was named the CAA Women's Co-swimmer of the Week for Jan. 6. She became the second Tribe swimmer to earn CAA weekly honors this year, joining Lindsay Juhlin (Nov. 11).
  • So far this year, William & Mary has broken two school records, six dual meet records, and eight Rec Center pool records.
  • Bond owns the best time in the CAA in the 50 free (19.73) and 100 free (43.55), both set at the WVU Invitational.
  • Addison is pacing the league in the 50 back at 24.82, followed by Sarah Dunham at 25.33. Addison also holds the fastest time in the 100 back (53.34).
  • Juhlin is leading the CAA in all three breast events (50, 100, 200).
  • The Tribe has the fastest 200 medley relay time in the CAA at 1:39.25 thanks to Addison, Juhlin, Klinefelter, and Burgeson.
  • Freshman Tyler Barritt has been off to a strong start for the men, posting the fifth-best time ever in the 1000 free (9:23.65) at George Washington. Barritt has already registered top-16 performances in three different events (500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free).
