- Winners in nine of its last 10 games, the Tribe sits at 11-3 this season. It equals the second-best start in school history, through 14 games, trailing only the 1948-49 team, which started 12-2. The Green and Gold also started 11-3 in 1941-42, 1977-78, 1997-98, and 2009-10.
- With its 76-57 win over Stony Brook on New Year's Eve, the Tribe improved to 2-0 to start CAA play for the sixth time in the last nine years. W&M looks open league play at 3-0 for the second-straight year under head coach

- The Tribe defense has been impressive this season and in particular, to start CAA play. Through the opening two league games, W&M is limiting its opponents to 37% shooting from the field and 25.4% in 3-point range. Overall on the year, the Tribe ranks sixth in the country in 3-point % defense at 26.8% and 54th in field goal % defense (40.3%), as of Jan. 3.
- After missing nearly three full games due to injury, senior
Kyle Pulliam has returned to form recently. Over the last three games, he is averaging 17 points, five rebounds and two steals per game, while shooting percentages of 71.4 FG% (15-of-21), 57.1 3FG% (4-of-7), and 89.5 FT% (17-of-19). He tallied his Tribe career-high of 22 points in the win over Radford on Dec. 18 to eclipse the 1,000th point mark for his career.
- In the Tribe's win over Stony Brook, junior
Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi tallied a game-high 22 points on an efficient 8-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-4 from 3. It marked his second 20-plus point game in the last six contests, including a career-high 25 vs. ODU. Over that stretch, he is averaging 15 points per game.
- The Tribe has jumped 117 spots from the preseason KenPom ratings, as of Jan. 3, to No. 114. The improvement is the fifth biggest in the country and the rating is W&M's best since 2016. The Tribe is also currently 81st in the NCAA NET Rankings, as of Jan. 3, which is the best in the CAA. W&M reached as high as No. 50 this season, which is the program's highest standing since the tool was introduced in 2018-19.
- W&M has shot a higher % than its opponents in 12 of its 14 games, including all 11 wins. The Tribe has connected at a 50% clip or better on six occasions. As of Jan. 3, the Green and Gold ranks 17th nationally in 2-point % (60.4), 27th in field goal % (49.9), and 30th in effective field goal % (57.5).
- Senior
Chase Lowe reached a pair of career milestones with his 500th career rebound vs. ODU and his 250th assist at Duquesne. He ranks 17th in school history in assists (273) and is 11 away from 16th place. Lowe is one of just six players in school history with 500 rebounds and 250 assists, joining an elite list of John Lowenhaupt '78, David Schneider '10, Omar Prewitt '17, Terry Tarpey '16, and Nathan Knight '20.
- The Tribe possesses a balanced attack offensively with seven players averaging at least 8.5 points per game, including four in double figures. At least four players have scored in double digits in 10 of the Tribe's 14 games, including three games with six players. In total 12 of the Tribe's 13 players that have seen action in 2025-26 have scored in double figures at least once and eight different players have led the team.
- W&M is once again among the fastest-paced teams in the country. According to KenPom.com (as of Jan. 3), the Tribe leads the country in fastest average length of possession on offense (13.6 seconds) and ranks eighth in adjusted tempo (74.7). Last season, the Tribe ranked third in fastest average length of possession (14.9) and 18th in adjusted tempo (71.5). In each of the last five seasons,

- Bench scoring has been a staple for head coach
Brian Earl's teams. This season, the Tribe is averaging 33.3 points per game from its reserves, which ranks 34th in the country, as of Jan. 3. W&M's leading scorer has come off the bench in six of its 11 wins this season. Last year, the Tribe ranked eighth nationally in bench scoring (31.9) after Earl's final Cornell team led the country in 2023-24 (36.0).
- The Tribe has also been one of the best teams in the country in terms of sharing the basketball under Earl. W&M is averaging 19.6 assists per game this season, which leads the CAA and ranks 10th in the country. The Tribe is sixth nationally in assist rate, assisting on 66.9% of its made field goals. A season ago, W&M was 10th nationally in assist rate (62%) and 25th nationally at 16.5 assists per game.

Matteus Case (Portugal) signed professional contracts in Europe. In total, 10 former Tribe standouts are playing professionally overseas, including Miguel Ayesa (Spain), David Cohn (Germany), Nathan Knight (South Korea), Anders Nelson (Romania), Terry Tarpey (France), Marcus Thornton (Romania), and Andy Van Vliet (Germany). Daniel Dixon '17, who won an NBA title as an assistant with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2025, was named the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's NBA G-League affiliate, in August. Alums Chris Darnell '09 (Sacramento Kings) and Sean Sheldon (Utah Jazz) are also currently NBA assistant coaches.
