Jay Colley in his fifth decade as the Voice of the Tribe. He completed his 42nd season on the microphone in 2023, serving as the play-by-play broadcaster for William & Mary men’s basketball and football.
 
A veteran broadcaster, Colley previously served as the voice of the Rochester Redwings in Minor League Baseball and also did play-by-play work for the Richmond Braves, the Tidewater Tides and the Norfolk Tides.
 
In recognition of Colley’s years of service to the College, he was selected as an honorary alumnus of William & Mary and was officially presented with the honor at Charter Day in February, 2003. In 2012, he received the Tribe men’s basketball program’s Sixth Man Award for his hard work and dedication to the program. Colley has also been a multiple time finalist for the Bill Schwanke Award which recognizes the National FCS Broadcaster of the Year.
 
Colley was a mass communications graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He and his wife Cindy are proud grandparents to three, Everleigh, Jolie and Archer, from his daughter, Carleigh, and son in law, Colby Roberts, who are both graduates of James Madison University. The Colley’s son, Ben, graduated from North Carolina where he was an All-American swimmer and competed for Team USA.
 
Along with his exploits as a broadcaster, father and grandfather, Colley is an award winning realtor with Howard Hanna in Williamsburg. The leader of the Jay Colley Team has been selling real estate since 1988, and is in the top 3% of REALTORS, due in large part to the fact that his clients are loyal, and return to him, or refer business to him.
