WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team opened its season with a 192.225-190.475 setback at West Chester on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman
Sophia Summers highlighted the Tribe's individual performances and won the beam title in her collegiate debut with a 9.775.
Hannah Burke also came up big with a pair of top-three performances, as she placed second on vault (9.675) and tied for third on floor with
Summer Penzi (9.650).
Also earning top-three finishes were
Catherine Bare, who tied for second on beam (9.625), and
Addison Pabellon, who placed third on vault (9.650).
As a team, W&M posted scores of 47.775 (vault), 46.825 (bars), 47.925 (beam) and 47.950 (floor).
