RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary had a pair of swimmers earn CAA Swimmer of the Week recognition this week, with Aiden Bond representing the men's team and Lauren Tucker representing the women, announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Bond had two individual victories and a relay victory at the Tribe Quad Meet on Friday. The junior took first place in the 50 free with a time of 19.96 before winning the 100 free with a W&M dual meet record time of 43.85.
He was also part of the winning 400 free relay team that finished in 3:01.26 as the Tribe won all four of its dual meet competitions. Bond continues to lead the CAA in the 50 free and 100 free.
Tucker broke a pair of dual meet records in the distance events. In the 1000 freestyle, she placed first with a time of 10:00.02, the second-fastest time in program history and tops in the CAA this year. The Bethesda, Md. native also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:53.82, ranking fourth in the conference.
This is the second straight week and third week overall that the Green & Gold has earned weekly all-conference honors. Previous honorees include Julie Addison (Jan. 6) and Lindsay Juhlin (Nov. 11).
