WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William & Mary women's tennis team produced seven ITA Scholar-Athletes and earned the All-Academic Team honor, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on July 21. It marked the 12th-straight year that W&M received the team honor, while

Francesca Davis,
Parker Debnam,
Emma Fernald,
Hedda Gurholt,
Ine Stange, and
Yaelle Vaissaud received ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades.

W&M received the team award for the 16th time overall. In total, 1,462 Division I women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 222 women's tennis programs garnered the All-Academic Team recognition. Individually, it was the fourth scholar-athlete award for Stange, while Fernald, Gurholt, and Vaissaud garnered the distinction for the third-straight season. Chaudry, Davis, and Debnam received the honor for the first time in their careers.
Since 2002, W&M has generated a total of 87 ITA Scholar-Athletes. The Tribe has received the team award each of head coach
Jessica Giuggioli's four seasons with 26 Scholar-Athletes. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year. All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher.
