RALEIGH, N.C.—The William & Mary track and field team sent five student-athletes to compete in the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Thursday and Friday in Raleigh, N.C.
Hayes Trapp kicked off the action for the Tribe on Thursday evening in the men's 10,000m. The W&M sophomore was able to post a personal best in the event, clocking in at 29:42.04.
Friday's action was highlighted by
Catherine Garrison's effort in the 3000m steeplechase. The Tribe junior crossed the line in 10:20.50 for the third best time in program history and the best time for W&M since Molly Applegate in 2018.
Freshman
Molly Weithman posted a career best in the 5,000m for the Tribe with a time of 16:48.15 on Friday evening.
Kyra Holland was right ahead of Weithman in the same event crossing the line in 16:41.50.
Arianna DeBoer wrapped the event for the Tribe in the 10,000m with a time of 34:07.04.
W&M returns to action on Saturday at 10 a.m., hosting the Dan Stimson Memorial Meet in Williamsburg.
