WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — After a two-week hiatus, the William & Mary swimming teams will return to action as they travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the Cavalier Invitational from Feb. 6-8 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. on all three days, followed by finals at 6 p.m. The meet will include all NCAA Championship events.

LAST TIME OUT
The Tribe is coming off a sweep of Georgetown in the nation's capital on Jan. 25, winning 178-84 (women) and 133-129 (women). W&M won 20 of 28 events. Freshman standout Tess Lankford stood out in the women's 200 freestyle, posting a winning time of 1:50.16, a new PR which remains the 13th-fastest time in school history. In the women's 100 freestyle, Flynn Truskett was able to improve upon her previous personal-best with a time of 50.46. That stands as ninth in program history.

SCHERING THE WEALTH
Senior Ellie Scherer was named the CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week for her performance against the Hoyas last week. The Baltimore, Md. native collected three first-place finishes, including two individual wins and one relay victory, capturing the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.72, which ranks top-10 in the CAA, as well as the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:18.06. She was also part of the Tribe's 200 medley relay team that finished in 1:41.70.

COMPETING TEAMS
Competing at the meet will be Army, James Madison, Johns Hopkins, Princeton, Richmond, South Carolina, St. Bonaventure, Towson, and Virginia, in addition to the Tribe.
