WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team recorded its best score of the season en route to earning an impressive 193.325-189.950 victory against West Chester on Senior Day at Kaplan Arena.
Hannah Burke highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning vault (9.750) and floor (9.775), while
Sarah Wozniak claimed the bars title (9.750). Burke's score on vault was a season high and equaled a career best, while her mark on floor was a season high as well.
A number of other gymnasts also came up big, as
Sarah Kuper placed second on vault with a season-high 9.725, while
Catherine Bare placed second on bars (9.650).
Melanie Faulkner and
Caroline Blatchford also tied for second on beam with a 9.775, as Faulkner's performance equaled a career high.
Sally Wood also garnered a pair of top-three finishes with career highs on vault (9.725) and floor (9.725).
In addition to earning its best team total of the season, W&M defeated WCU in three events and registered season highs on vault (48.500) and floor (48.550, equaled).
