LYNCHBURG, Va. — Jacob Robinson, Emily Ervin, Austin Rice, and Kyra Holland all set school records in sprint and distance events to lead the William & Mary track and field teams at the Darius Dixon Invitational over the weekend.

The Tribe set nine new top-10 marks and had three first-place finishes. In addition, Avery Glidden notched a freshman record in the women's 300m.

DAY ONE
Seekford opened the action with a bang in the men's 400m open, finishing in 48.45 for the third-best performance all-time. On the women's side of the 400m, Avery Glidden clocked in at 57.05 which was good enough for another top-10 mark in program history.

In long distance events, Emily Sell won the women's 3000m open with a time of 9:59.59. The men had a pair of top-four finishers in the 3000m between Zack Ericksen (8:25.26) and Carson Rackley (8:27.67).

DAY TWO
Robinson kicked off a productive day for W&M, breaking the school record in the men's 200m with his time of 21.73, placing fifth in the field. The previous mark set by Theo Chambers (21.83) had stood for five years.

Running in the women's 200m, Summer Mellow set a new personal best with a time of 25.04, moving into sole possession of fifth place in the program records.

Then it was Austin Rice's turn to rewrite history, as the reigning CAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week broke the program record in the men's 300m at 33.86. He placed second.

The women also punched in a record time in the 300m thanks to Emily Ervin, who clocked in the fastest W&M time ever at 39.48 as she finished runner-up.
Following her was Glidden, who had the top freshman time in school history with a mark of 39.81.

In the men's 4000m distance medley relay, the Tribe men picked up another victory as the quartet of Amberson Bauer, Owen Lipps, Caleb Wilcox, and Carson Rackley finished in 10:09.74.

The women's 200m had a pair of near-identical performances from W&M. Kianne Benjamin and Melissa Cunningham finished in 25.01, with Benjamin edging out her teammate by just 4/1000ths of a second to claim the fifth-best performance in program history.

Capping off the afternoon action, Holland won the women's mile invitational section with a record-breaking time of 4:42.59. The previous record, owned by Emily Anderson, had stood since 2008. Arianna DeBoer added another top-10 for the Tribe, clocking in at 4:48.90 which stands as the sixth-fastest time in school history.
