- Saturday's game is part of George Washington's 50th anniversary celebration of the Charles E. Smith Center, which was dedicated on Dec. 6, 1975. Two days prior, W&M was GW's first Division I opponent in the Smith Center and the Revolutionaries tallied a 75-69 win.
- The Tribe's win at Duquesne on Tuesday marked the program's third on the road this season, which ranks second nationally. W&M is one of 10 teams in the country with three or more road wins.
- W&M is currently riding a six-game win streak. It marks the second win streak of six or more games under head coach
Brian Earl. It is the program's first six-game streak in the nonconference play since it won eight consecutive nonconference games in 2009-10.
- Thanks to six-straight victories, the Tribe is off to its best start to a season at 8-2 in the last 16 years. It is the best start since the program won 10-straight and started 10-2 in 2009-10.
- In each of its last three wins, the Tribe shot 50% or better from field. W&M connected on a 64.7% clip in the win over Abilene Christian on Nov. 25, which was the best for a Tribe team against a DI opponent since 2015. On the year, the Green and Gold ranks 25th nationally in 2-point % (60.2), 32nd in effective field goal % (57.8), and 36th in field goal % (50.0), as of Dec. 5.
- W&M has jumped 111 spots in the KenPom ratings, as of Dec. 5, to No. 120. The improvement is the fourth biggest in the country and the rating is W&M's best since 2016. The Tribe is also currently 52nd in the NCAA NET Rankings, as of Dec. 5, which is the best in the CAA. W&M reached as high as No. 50, the program's highest standing since the tool was introduced in 2018-19.
- The Tribe possesses a balanced attack offensively with eight players averaging 7.5 points per game or more, including four in double figures. At least four players have scored in double digits in eight of the Tribe's 10 games, including six on two occasions, and seven different players have led the team in scoring.
- W&M has been turning over opponents at a significant rate and converting those into points this season. The Tribe leads the CAA and ranks 16th nationally in forced turnovers per game (16.9), while averaging 21.3 points per game off turnovers.
- Bench scoring has been a staple for head coach
Brian Earl's teams. This season, the Tribe is averaging 33.5 points per game from its reserves, which ranks 45th in the country, as of Dec. 5. W&M ranks 24th nationally in % of minutes off the bench (41.2) according to KenPom.com. Last season, the Tribe ranked eighth nationally in bench scoring (31.9) after Earl's final Cornell team led the country in 2023-24 (36.0).
- W&M is once again among the fastest-paced teams in the country. According to KenPom.com (as of Dec. 5), the Tribe leads the country in fastest average length of possession on offense (13.5 seconds) and ranks third in adjusted tempo (75.4). - The Tribe is averaging 9.2 steals per game on the year, which leads the CAA and ranks 44th nationally. Brockhoff ranks ninth in the CAA at 1.4 per game, while Pulliam is 14th (1.3) and Vahlberg Fasasi is 17th (1.2). In its first season under Earl in 2024-25, W&M finished with the fourth most steals in school history.
- The Tribe has also been one of the best teams in the country in terms of sharing the basketball under Earl. W&M is averaging 19.6 assists per game this season, which leads the CAA and ranks 13th in the country. The Tribe is ninth nationally in assist rate, assisting on 67.3% of its made field goals. A season ago, W&M was 10th nationally in assist rate (62%) and 25th nationally at 16.5 assists per game.

- 2025 W&M alums
Gabe Dorsey (Slovakia),
Caleb Dorsey (Slovakia), and
Matteus Case (Portugal) signed professional contracts in Europe. In total, 10 former Tribe standouts are playing professionally overseas, including Miguel Ayesa (Spain), David Cohn (Germany), Nathan Knight (South Korea), Anders Nelson (Romania), Terry Tarpey (France), Marcus Thornton (Romania), and Andy Van Vliet (Germany).
- W&M alum Daniel Dixon '17 was named the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder in August. Dixon, who was an All-CAA First Team selection in 2017, won an NBA Championship as an assistant coach with the OKC Thunder last season. In 2024, he won an NBA G-League Championship as an assistant with the Blue.
