- W&M opens the CAA slate at home for the third time in the last five years. The Tribe has won nine of its last 13 league openers and is 19-21 all-time in its first CAA game. W&M is 16-9 in CAA openers inside Kaplan Arena, including wins in eight of its last nine openers at home. Head coach
Brian Earl won his first CAA opener last season at Hofstra and is 5-3 in conference openers as a head coach.
- W&M and Towson meet for the only time this season in the league opener. Last season, the Tigers won the CAA regular season championship, while W&M finished fourth in the league standings. Both teams were picked among the preseason top four by vote of the league coaches.
- The Tribe has jumped 111 spots in the KenPom ratings, as of Dec. 27, to No. 120. The improvement is the eighth biggest in the country and the rating is W&M's best since 2016. The Tribe is also currently 69th in the NCAA NET Rankings, as of Dec. 23, which is the best in the CAA. W&M reached as high as No. 50 this season, which is the program's highest standing since the tool was introduced in 2018-19.
- W&M finished the nonconference slate at 9-3. It marks just the seventh time the program's 88 years of conference affiliation that it won nine or more games in nonconference play and is the most for a W&M team since 1982-83.
- In the Tribe's win over Radford, senior
Kyle Pulliam tallied 22 points on 6-of-7 shooting and 9-of-10 at the free throw line. It marked a Tribe career-high for Pulliam as he also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career. He spent his first two seasons at Division II St. Thomas Aquinas.

Kilian Brockhoff has been on a roll, scoring in double figures in five-straight games. During the stretch, he is averaging 15.6 points per game and shooting 54.2% (26-of-48) from the field and 42.3% (11-of-26) from 3.
- The Tribe is one of the top shooting teams in the country. As of Dec. 27, the Green and Gold ranks 20th nationally in 2-point % (60.3), 36th in field goal % (49.7), and 39th in effective field goal % (57.1).

Reese Miller has been a consistent scorer throughout his first season with the Tribe, tallying nine or more points in nine of his 10 contests. Miller, who has scored in double figures seven times, is the Tribe's leading scorer on the season with 11.8 points per game, which also ranks 23rd in the CAA.

Chase Lowe reached a pair of career milestones recently with his 500th career rebound vs. ODU and his 250th assist at Duquesne. He moved into 20th in school history in assists (261) vs. Radford. Lowe is one of just six players in school history with 500 rebounds and 250 assists, joining an elite list of John Lowenhaupt '78, David Schneider '10, Omar Prewitt '17, Terry Tarpey '16, and Nathan Knight '20.
- The Tribe possesses a balanced attack offensively with eight players averaging at least seven points per game, including four in double figures. At least four players have scored in double digits in 10 of the Tribe's 12 games, including three games with six players, and seven different players have led the team in scoring.
- W&M is once again among the fastest-paced teams in the country. According to KenPom.com (as of Dec. 27), the Tribe leads the country in fastest average length of possession on offense (13.4 seconds) and ranks fifth in adjusted tempo (75.5). - W&M has been turning over opponents at a significant rate and converting those into points this season. The Tribe leads the CAA and ranks 18th nationally in forced turnovers per game (16.3), while averaging 20.1 points per game off turnovers. W&M leads the CAA and ranks 46th nationally in steals at 9.1 per game.
- The Tribe has also been one of the best teams in the country in terms of sharing the basketball under Earl. W&M is averaging 19.5 assists per game this season, which leads the CAA and ranks 12th in the country. The Tribe is 10th nationally in assist rate, assisting on 65.7% of its made field goals. A season ago, W&M was 10th nationally in assist rate (62%) and 25th nationally at 16.5 assists per game.
- 2025 W&M alums
Gabe Dorsey (Slovakia),
Caleb Dorsey (Slovakia), and
Matteus Case (Portugal) signed professional contracts in Europe. In total, 10 former Tribe standouts are playing professionally overseas, including Miguel Ayesa (Spain), David Cohn (Germany), Nathan Knight (South Korea), Anders Nelson (Romania), Terry Tarpey (France), Marcus Thornton (Romania), and Andy Van Vliet (Germany).
- W&M alum Daniel Dixon '17 was named the head coach of the Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder in August. Dixon, who was an All-CAA First Team selection in 2017, won an NBA Championship as an assistant coach with the OKC Thunder last season. In 2024, he won an NBA G-League Championship as an assistant with the Blue.
