TRIBE NOTES

Last Time Out
The Tribe will look to keep momentum rolling after a 1-0 win over Charleston on Sunday at Martin Family Stadium. W&M was outshot by the Cougars 21-9 but made the most of its chances, with Ivey Crain providing the game winner in the 74th minute. The goal was the fourth of the season for Crain, tying her with Lindsay Wilson for the team lead. Gwen Doughty picked up the third clean sheet of the year for the Tribe in goal with six saves.

Lockdown on Defense
Heading into the weekend the Tribe leads the CAA during conference play in goals against averaging at 0.60 per game. W&M has posted a pair of shutouts during the CAA season, and is the only team in the league to have not allowed multiple goals in a match during CAA action.

Ivey in Action
After being held without a point in the first three games of the year, preseason All-CAA selection Ivey Crain has found her stride for the Tribe. With her goal on Sunday, Crain has now found the back of the net four times this season. The senior from Milton, Ga. is a three-time All-CAA selection and has led the Tribe in scoring in each of her first three collegiate seasons. Her 27 career goals leave her five away from top 10 all-time in program history. Notably, World Cup winning coach Jill Ellis is the benchmark for that threshold with 32 goals.

History with the Seahawks
UNCW and W&M will be meeting for the 35th time with the Tribe holding a large advantage in the all-time series, 26-7-1. UNCW has won five of the last seven meetings, however. Last year's matchup was a 2-0 W&M win in Williamsburg. The Seahawks are at the top of the CAA South standings with a 4-0-1 mark in league play.
