ASHEVILLE, N.C.— Faith Garcia's first round 75 highlighted William & Mary women's golf's fall finale at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational, hosted by UNC Asheville on Monday and Tuesday.
The event was shortened to 36 holes at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove due to rain in the area with W&M finishing in seventh out of 10 teams in the field with scores of 313-323 (+60). Clemson was the team champion at 2-over.
Garcia led the way for W&M following up her first round 75 with an 83 to finish T-22 at 14-over.
The Tribe had a slew of members right behind Garcia with
Jennifer Osborne one shot behind at 15-over for T-25. The sophomore opened the event with a 78 before a final round 81.
A pair of freshmen,
Reagan Garnsey and
Lilly Reed Black, found themselves one behind Osborne on the week with a 16-over-par total. Garnsey posted scores of 79-81, while Black flipped those numbers (81-79) to conclude their rookie fall season.
Samantha Skinner rounded out the Tribe lineup with a 41
st place finishing with scores of 86-82.
