10/10/2025 9:41:00 AM

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary swimming will kick off its 2025-26 campaign on Saturday as it travels to Baltimore for the UMBC Family Weekend Tri-Meet. The Tribe will take on Navy and UMBC at 11 a.m. from the UMBC Aquatic Complex.

Fans can stream the meet live on America East.TV. Live results will be unavailable.

STARTING OFF
  • W&M returns 45 letterwinners from last year's squad, including 28 women and 17 men. The Tribe women's team led the way at the CAA Championships in 2025, placing second as a team with eight gold medals.
  • Twelve newcomers join the fold for the Tribe this season, a cast that features 11 freshmen plus one transfer (Claire Stuhlmacher).
  • In total, the Green & Gold racked up 17 medals and broke five school records, including a CAA record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.48. Of that group, three return in Julie Addison, Lindsay Juhlin, and Caroline Burgeson.
  • The Tribe women also bring back a pair of standout sophomores in Claire Neilly and Tess Lankford, who won gold in the 400 IM and 200 free, respectively, in their rookie campaigns.
  • On the men's side, junior Aiden Bond returns after an impressive sophomore season that saw him earn third in the 200 free at the CAA Championships with the second-fastest time in school history (1:36.20). The McLean, Va. native also ranks second all-time in the 50 free at 19.64.

GOING ON YEAR SEVEN
Nate Kellogg will begin his seventh season as head coach in 2025-26, and is in his eighth year as a coach with the Tribe. Kellogg has guided W&M to a pair of CAA Championships (2020 men and 2022 women) and is a four-time CAA Swimming Coach of the Year. Under his stewardship, the Tribe has produced 34 combined individual conference champions, three CAA Swimmers of the Year, one CAA Rookie of the Year, and two NCAA Championship qualifiers.

MEET HISTORY
W&M saw these two opponents a season ago at the Navy Tri-Meet in Annapolis, Md. The Tribe dropped a pair of contests to Navy while sweeping the Retrievers (189-105 men, 204-90 women).
