WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary baseball's
Travis Garnett was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth round of the 2024 MLB Draft at overall pick No. 254, after his first season in Green & Gold. Marking the Tribe's second pick on day two of the Draft, Garnett becomes the program's fourth selection in the top eight rounds in the last two years.

th-highest in W&M baseball history, and he joins
Nate Knowles among the Tribe players to hear their name called in the 2024 draft.
The lefty fanned 45 over 27.1 innings of work, concluding his debut year with a perfect 5-0 record. In an impressive feat, Garnett allowed just one extra-base hit and held opponents to a .194 average at the plate.
In his 14 appearances out of the bullpen, the Pasadena, Maryland, native contributed to three of the Tribe's four two-hitters. He earned the victory over Campbell with 3.0 scoreless innings in which he allowed just one hit, to propel the Tribe to its CAA Championship berth-clinching win. Also notably, he allowed just one hit in W&M's historic win at No. 6 Duke and tossed two no-hit innings at then-No.17 Virginia.
