Baseball Has Three Earn Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. — William & Mary baseball had three players named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon as Louie Bartletti, Witt Scafidi, and Jamie Laskofski earned recognition for their academic and athletic achievements.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. To be athletically eligible, nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.

Louie Bartletti | Graduate | Springfield, Ill.
Named Second Team All-CAA, posting a .327 batting average with 39 runs, nine doubles, six homers, and 30 RBI… Stole 21 bases, ranking top-10 in the CAA… Slugged .529 with a .431 on-base percentage… Went on a tear in conference play, slashing .384/.470/.640 with 18 RBI against CAA competition… Earned an Investment Management Certificate.

Jamie Laskofski | Sophomore | Burke, Va.
Named the CAA Player of the Year after leading the Tribe with a .355 batting average, 65 runs, 72 hits, 12 doubles, 13 homers, and 45 RBI across 53 games at shortstop… During the regular season, led the CAA with six triples, ranking fourth in Division I… Ranked 15th in the nation in stolen bases with 36… Drew 41 walks with a .464 on-base percentage while posting a .665 slugging percentage… Had 21 multi-hit games.

Witt Scafidi | Redshirt Junior | Penn Laird, Va.
Posted a .338 batting average with 45 hits, eight doubles, three home runs, and 32 RBI… Walked 14 times with a .416 on-base percentage… Majoring in business analytics with a concentration in data science.
