KANNAPOLIS, N.C.—The William & Mary men's golf team finished in 13^th at the Irish Creek Collegiate hosted by Appalachian State on Monday and Tuesday at Irish Creek G&CC in Kannapolis, N.C.
 
The Tribe finished the 54-hole event with a team total of 30-over, posting scores of 289-290-291 at the par-70, 7038-yard, track.
 
Charlie Bundy was the top finisher for the Tribe with scores of 74-70-74. Bundy finished tied for 41^st in the field of 94 players. His even-par 70 in round two Monday featured three birdies and three bogeys. Bundy also got hot on Irish Creek's front-nine in Tuesday's final round, making four birdies in a seven-hole span before shooting 74.
 
Scott Hanna was about as steady as any player in Tuesday's final round, making 17 pars with just one blemish on the card to shoot 1-over 71. Hanna's only bogey came on his sixth hole, the par-4 first, before rattling off 11 consecutive pars to finish the tournament. He shot scores of 77-73 in the first two rounds on Monday and finished T-50 for the event.
 
Preston Burton, who only posted scores in two rounds for W&M, put up a solid performance. The freshman fired a season-low 3-under 67 in the opening round on Monday morning to hold a share of the tournament lead. Burton finished with a clean card on the course's front-nine with two birdies and used three birdies to offset two bogeys on the back-nine and finish comfortably in red figures. After not posting a score in the second round Burton shot 73 on Tuesday to finish even-par over his 36 holes.
 
Logan Hunter and Luke Walmet both finished in a tie for 60^th with totals of 13-over. Hunter put up matching 74's on Monday before a 75 in the final round on Tuesday. Walmet fired 74-73-76 to reach his 223 total.
 
Davis Adams rounded out the starting lineup for W&M in the event that was a 'six, count four' format compared to the usual five-person lineup. Adams finished up with scores of 83-76 on Monday before improving in Tuesday's final round. He shot 73 and finished in 88^th.
