WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—The William & Mary men's golf team hits the road for the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational, hosted by West Virginia at Nemacolin Resort's Mystic Rock course in Farmington, Pa.
 
The 54-hole event will be played over Monday and Tuesday with 36 holes on Monday.
 
W&M will be traveling four individuals who will play in a concurrent individual event at Nemacolin's Shepherd's Rock course.
 
TRIBE NOTES
 
Last Time Out
The Tribe put together a solid showing at The Goat hosted by Navy last weekend, finishing fifth of 16 teams with scores of 296-295-286. All five members of the Tribe's lineup shot 74 or better in at least one round of the event led by Talon Dingledine's T-4 finish at 1-over. The Tribe freshman shot scores of 71-71-72 and has finished in the top-10 in both of his first two college events.
 
Finishing Strong
In each of the Tribe's first two final rounds this season the Tribe has posted a team score of 286 and played to even-par total over the two rounds. W&M has finished in the top-five in each of its first two tournaments thanks to those efforts, scoring a third-place finish at the Byran National Collegiate and coming in fifth at The Goat. This marks the second straight year W&M has finished in the top-five of its first two events.
 
The Course
Located in western Pennsylvania, Mystic Rock Golf Club is located at Nemacolin Resort, opening in 1995 designed by Pete Dye. Consistently known as one of the best resort courses in the northeast, the track played host to the PGA TOUR's 84 Lumber Classic from 2003-2006, with Vijay Singh winning the title there in 2004. The course also saw Michelle Wie make one of her six starts on the PGA TOUR in 2006. The par-72, 7,516 yard course was ranked No. 2 in Golfweek's "Best Courses You Can Play: Pennsylvania", and underwent a bunker renovation in 2021.
