SOUTHPORT, N.C.—The William & Mary women's golf team concluded its season on Sunday afternoon at the CAA Championships. The Tribe finished in seventh out of 10 teams with scores of 319-331-321.
Delaware won the team competition at 45-over, while the Blue Hens' Lila Henkel won the individual title in a playoff at the St. James Reserve Club.
The Tribe's top finisher was
Avery Thompson in a tie for 18
th with a total of 235. Thompson posted a strong back-nine to close out the tournament, playing the side in 1-over 37.
Mary Grace Dunigan also played the back-nine on Sunday in just 1-over par on her way to a T-25 finish. Dunigan put up scores of 79-81-79 for W&M this weekend.
Mikah McDonnell wrapped up her collegiate career with an 83 on Sunday after a pair of 82's in the opening round. The grad student finished in 35
th for the event and wraps up her career in Green and Gold seventh all-time in career rounds played.
Ava Svindland and
Samantha Skinner rounded out the scoring for the Tribe on Sunday, each shooting 82's. Svindland finished in 42
nd with a 258 total, while Skinner made her CAA Championship debut via the substitution rule in place.
Skinner replaced
Simone Senk who played the first two rounds for W&M. Senk shot 78-94.
