WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— The William & Mary women's golf team sits T-6 out of 10 teams following the opening two rounds of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Monday. The Tribe posted scores of 317-315, 62-over, for the 36-hole day at Kingsmill's River Course.
 
Mary Grace Dunigan led the way for the Tribe and currently sits tied for the tournament lead, at 5-over after 36 holes. In round one, Dunigan shot a five-over 77 before shooting an even-par 72 in her second 18. Three birdies offset her three bogies in the second round as she posted the lowest score amongst the entire field on Monday.
 
Mikah McDonnell was consistent through both rounds, shooting 79 in the first 18 and 78 in the second. McDonnell sits at T-13 after a combined +13 performance on day one. 
 
Samantha Skinner finished round one in 88 strokes, counting as the drop score for the Tribe. She improved by six strokes in round two finishing with a counting score of 82. 
 
Avery Thompson rounded the course in 79 strokes in the first 18, making 11 pars. Her second-round 86 was the dropped score from the Tribe lineup. Thompson sits T-31 after day one. 
 
Individuals for the Tribe were Katie Suk and Ava Svindland. 
 
Svindland shot 82 in the opening round before recording an 83 during the second 18 holes. 
 
Suk posted scores of 83 and 85 on day one. 
 
The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 18 holes. Play begins with an 9 a.m. shotgun.
