WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— For the first time since in 2024 the William & Mary men's golf team will tee it up, opening their spring season at the NC State Wolfpack Individual on Saturday and Sunday.
The Tribe will not be posting a team score but will have four players competing as individuals in the 36-hole event Lonnie Poole GC in Raleigh.
TRIBE NOTES
A Look Back:
Tim Pemberton's team played in five events this past fall running from the first week of September to the last week of October. W&M averaged 296.26 this fall in their 15 fall rounds, with
Charlie Bundy leading the team in scoring average at 73.4.
Saving the Best for Last
The Tribe saved the best performance of the fall season for their last event, the Bryan National Collegiate, placing third out of 13 teams. W&M's final two rounds was its best of the fall, carding back-to-back even-par 288s in the final 36 holes.
Charlie Bundy's 3-under total led the way, earning him a sixth-place finish, and
Preston Burton came in ninth at even-par.
Iron Men
Three players played in all 15 rounds for the Tribe this fall in Bundy, Burton and
Logan Hunter. Burton, just a freshman, posted a solid 73.8 average in his first 15 college rounds, barely behind Bundy for the best average on the team. Hunter, who set the program record for rounds of par or better last season, averaged 75.2 this fall.
The duo of Bundy and Burton combined for 10 rounds of par or better and three top-10s in the fall.
The Lineup
All competing as individuals, the four players the Tribe will bring are:
Charlie Bundy,
Logan Hunter,
Davis Adams and
Scott Hanna.

This year's NC State Wolfpack Individual is filled with a slew of impressive teams and players. The Tribe will be paired with West Virginia and Appalachian State in the first round. Other teams bringing players include North Carolina, Purdue, Auburn and Vanderbilt.
