WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William & Mary men's golf fired a final round 286 (+2) to pull away in winning the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate at the Gold Course on Tuesday afternoon.

The Tribe's 2-under par 850 over the three rounds is the second-best score to par in the history of W&M's spring tournament and the best since the event moved to the Golden Horseshoe Gold Course in 2019. Tuesday's win is the Green and Gold's first in its home event since 2005 when it won on the Golden Horseshoe Green Course in head coach Tim Pemberton's senior season.

W&M's 2-under score is its best at the program's spring tournament and the 13th best mark in school history. James Madison's  4-under par 572 in W&M's 36-hole event at the Kingsmill Woods Course is the only score better in the history of the spring event. Tuesday's 286 (+2) was the best round among the 12 teams in the field.

The Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate victory is the Tribe's second win of the season after claiming the team title at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate during the fall. It is the sixth time in school history that W&M has won multiple tournaments in a season and the first time since 2004-05.

For the second-straight day and third consecutive round, W&M turned in five strong scores. The five players in the lineup shot 73 (+2) or better in every round, including four rounds in red figures.

Freshman Eli Felty recorded his second top-five performance of the year, placing fourth behind a 3-under 210. He fired his second round below par on Tuesday with a 2-under 69.

Freshman Talon Dingledine and sophomore Grady Williams each earned top 10s with 1-over 214 scores. Dingledine shot a final round 73 (+2) to register his fifth top 10 of the season in seven events. Williams carded a 72 (+1) on Tuesday to post his first career top 10.

Graduate student Matthew Monastero and junior Preston Burton rounded the Tribe's top five, earning a share of 13th. Burton closed his round with a birdie and an eagle on the first and second holes to post a 72 (+1) and finished with a two-day total of 215 (+2). Monastero eagled the second hole as well to open his round on the way to a final round 73 (+2) and total score of 215 (+2).

Villanova was second with a three-round total of 863 (+11) followed by Navy (867), Longwood (870), and Saint Joseph's (874). Navy's Jack Tarzy (68-68-72) and Villanova's Matt Zerfass (70-71-67) shared the individual honors with 5-under 208 scores.
