KANSAS CITY, Mo.— Former legendary William & Mary women's soccer coach, and current volunteer assistant,
John Daly will be one of three individuals inducted into the United Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame, the organization recently announced.
Daly, who spent 30 seasons as the head coach of the Tribe, will join former MLS and U.S. U-23 coach Glenn Myernick and former Notre Dame head coach Mike Berticelli as a part of the 2025 class. The induction will be held in January during the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago.
The honor makes Daly the second former W&M soccer coach inducted after Al Albert was a member of the 2023 class. The duo shares the title of namesake for the current home of the soccer programs, Albert-Daly Field.
Daly's impact on the W&M women's program is hard to overstate, leading the Tribe to 10 CAA championships and compiling a career record of 413-176-57, good for 28
th all-time in wins in the NCAA.
During his tenure, the Tribe made a whopping 24 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a stretch of 17 straight from 1992-2008.
Daly's contributions to the sport have not gone unnoticed. He has been honored with the NSCAA Letter of Commendation and the Women's Soccer Award of Excellence Award, recognizing his exceptional coaching career and service to the game.
