Baseball Welcomes Cullen Large as First Pitch Dinner Keynote Speaker

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary baseball will welcome back 2017 MLB Draft pick and Tribe alumnus Cullen Large as keynote speaker at the annual First Pitch Dinner, Head Coach Mike McRae announced on Monday.

After making a significant impact in his three years with the Tribe, Large was selected as the then-eighth-highest MLB Draft pick in program history in the fifth round of the 2017 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He played professionally for five seasons in the Blue Jays organization.

The former W&M infielder garnered CAA postseason honors every year with the Tribe, including an All-CAA First Team selection in 2017, and helped the 2016 squad to an NCAA Regional appearance his sophomore year in the Green and Gold. Large landed in the top 25 in 10 career categories in just three years, including tied for the seventh-most double plays turned (85), 11th in hits (225) and 13th in doubles (40). His .323 career batting average is 24th-best in program history and 11th among players with over 600 career at-bats.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 6 p.m. in Alan B. Miller Hall and will feature the opportunity to hear from the 2024 Tribe baseball team and coaching staff. Tickets include dinner and an open beer and wine bar.
