W&M (6-0-5, 3-0-2) battled Elon on Sunday at Martin Family Stadium, grabbing a 2-0 win to remain unbeaten on the year.
Kayleigh Shackford broke the scoreless tie in the 59
th minute with a long shot that found the left 'upper 90' of the goal.

Baker's Dozen
The Tribe is one of 13 teams in the nation who have yet to lose a game this season, which includes the likes of No. 1 North Carolina, No. 3 Florida State and No. 4 Penn State. The Green and Gold's 11 game unbeaten streak is the longest to start a season in program history and the longest overall streak since the 2013 team went 12 games without a loss. Earlier this year the Tribe completed their non-conference schedule undefeated for the first time in program history.
Road Warriors
Coming off a three game homestand, the Tribe will play four of their next five CAA matches away from Williamsburg. After this week's trip up north, the Tribe returns home for one game with Hampton. They then head to the Carolinas for meetings with UNCW and Charleston. W&M has yet to show any signs of homesickness so far this year, going 4-0-2 in their first six road matches.
Getting Defensive
The Tribe's backline has been extremely steady all season long, only allowing a opponents a measly 2.8 shots on goal per game. W&M also leads the CAA in goals against average (0.45), save percentage (83.9%) and shutout percentage (63.6%). Starting keeper,
Zoe Doughty, leads the conference in goals against average, while ranking second in save percentage and shutouts.
No Soup For You
Along with William & Mary's impressive defensive statistics, the Tribe have shutout their opponents in 15 of their last 16 victories, dating back to the non-conference of 2021. The only outlier over that timeframe was the 2-1 win over Drexel on Sept. 7. When adding in scoreless draws, the Green and Gold have blanked their opponents 21 times in the last 48 games since the start of the 2021 season, a 44% clip.
Series History
The Tribe and the Pride will meet for the 26
th time on Thursday. W&M leads the all-time series by a 12-9-4 tally, with the teams each going 4-4-3 in the 11 previous meetings in Hempstead. The Tribe won last year's match on the road by a 2-0 score, ending a five-game winless streak against the Pride.
The Seawolves and Tribe square off for just the second time ever with Stony Brook joining the CAA last season. Last year's meeting was a 1-1 draw in Stony Brook.

Hofstra enters Thursday's heavyweight matchup with a 7-2-1 record and 4-0-1 in conference. They sit tied for first with Towson in the CAA table with 13 points, while William & Mary and Northeastern sit with 11 points tied for third. The Pride picked up four points on the road last week, tying Charleston on Thursday before beating UNCW, 2-1, on Sunday. Their two losses this season come to Albany and Columbia. Goalkeeper Skylar Kuzmich leads the CAA in save percentage (85%).
Scouting the Seawolves
Stony Brook was handed a pair of losses last week against Hofstra and Monmouth dropping to 3-3-4, 1-2-2 on the season. They take on first-place Towson on Thursday before hosting the Tribe on Sunday.
