NORMAN, Okla. — William & Mary men's golf was recently honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America for its success in the classroom during the 2022-23 season. Graduate student 
Matthew Feinstein, senior 
Trevor Binau earned and sophomore 
Jake Newman were named GCAA All-America Scholar honors.  
Both Feinstein and Binau garnered the All-America Scholar honor for the third-straight year, while Newman received the distinct for the first time. To be eligible for the accolades, an individual must - 1) be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I; 2) have participated in 50% of their team's competitive rounds with a stroke average under 76.0; 3) maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2; and 4) be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university. The duo was among 548 NCAA Division I athletes from 194 schools earned 2022-23 GCAA All-America Scholar honors.
 
Feinstein earned All-CAA Second Team honors and led the Tribe with a 72.69 stroke average, which was the third best in school history. Binau ranked third on the team in scoring average at 73.39, which also ranked 11th on the Tribe's single-season list. He ended his career with the eighth-best career average (74.48). Newman played in six tournaments for the Green and Gold, finishing the year with a 75.35 scoring average.
