WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William & Mary men's tennis team earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team honor for the seventh-straight year and placed six players on the organization's Scholar-Athlete list.

Sean Joseph,
Alexander Karman,
Daniel Pellerito and
Andres Silva were each named ITA Scholar-Athletes, while the Green and Gold posted a team cumulative GPA higher than 3.2 to earn a spot on the team list.
The team award was the 11th for the program and seventh under head coach
Jeff Kader. Pellerito garnered the scholar-athlete honor for the fifth time, while Brailovsky earned his third award. In total, 959 Division I Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 162 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. A total of 73 W&M student-athletes have garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, including 64 over the last 12 years.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2019 and spring 2020). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).
