Tribe Falls to Elon in Home Match, 6–1

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary men's tennis dropped a 6–1 decision to Elon on Friday afternoon at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts.

The loss moves the Tribe to 6–8 overall, while the Phoenix improve to 4–8 on the season.

Elon claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Albert Hansen and Theo Nilsson picked up William & Mary's lone doubles victory with a 7–5 win at No. 2, but the Phoenix secured the point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

In singles play, William & Mary earned its only point at the No. 3 position. Nikita Bortnichek rallied for a three-set victory, defeating Nikola Parichkov, 3–6, 6–2, 6–2.

Elon won the remaining five singles matches to secure the team victory. Veljko Krstic defeated Gur Trakhtenberg in straight sets at No. 1, while Rafael Ymer outlasted Oliver Hague in three sets at No. 2. Jack Curtis added a straight-set win over Austin Cohen at No. 4, and Oskar Antinheimo claimed a three-set victory against Hansen at No. 5. Charles Pilet closed the match with a three-set win over Raz Katz at No. 6.
