Tribe Falls at No. 43 Middle Tennessee, 4–0

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — William & Mary men's tennis dropped a 4–0 decision to No. 43 Middle Tennessee on Friday evening at the Outdoor Tennis Complex.

The loss moves the Tribe to 7–9 on the season, while the Blue Raiders improve to 17–7 overall.

Middle Tennessee claimed the doubles point by winning at No. 1 and No. 2. The Tribe's top duo of Oliver Hague and Gur Trakhtenberg fell 6–4 at No. 1, while Albert Hansen and Theo Nilsson dropped a 6–2 decision at No. 2. The No. 3 match featuring Nikita Bortnichek and Raz Katz went unfinished with Middle Tennessee leading 4–3.

In singles play, Middle Tennessee secured the match with victories at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6.

At the top of the lineup, Trakhtenberg fell 6–3, 6–2 at No. 1 singles. Hansen dropped a 6–3, 6–0 decision at No. 5, and Katz fell 6–0, 6–1 at No. 6 to clinch the match for the Blue Raiders.

The remaining singles matches went unfinished. Hague trailed at No. 2, while Bortnichek and Austin Cohen were also in action at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, when play was halted.
